Adding some type of energy storage to offshore wind farms would be a very valuable endeavor. A new type of technology would help reduce green house gasses and add dependability to offshore wind mill production. Such a technology would only need to store enough energy to augment high utilization times to be successful. We hope to extend the basic design of CAES to include lower pressure requirements and a more efficient thermodynamic process.
